Two historic Alsatian wine families have created the organic ‘Restons Nature’ project of 15 hectares of vines, many cuvees and many microclimates. The origin of this domain goes back all the way to the XVII century, when Alsatian wine production was flourishing.
The ancestors of domain were originally exploiting their respective vines separately on the vineyards of Rosenwiller and Molsheim.
Over the course of generations, both domains thrived-Xavier Meyer in Rosenwiller, Joseph Kumpf in Molsheim. The union of both wine farms happened in 1996 with the creation of new installations at the vineyard of Rosheim.
With organisations of plots of grapevines on new lands and villages, the domain grew up and got modernised over the years to reach a 16 hectare surface exploited on 6 villages and more than 70 plots.
The ‘Utopiste’ is Gewurtztraminer, harvested at full maturity, macerated on its skins for 15 days and aged for a full year. It is simultaneously gorgeous and explosive with lightly musky exotic fruit, dry honey, fine acidity and tannins. Incredibly beautiful and food friendly wine.
