The 2011 is still young, but with unmistakable potential. This lighter red shows a good balance of intensity and finesse, and pure flavours of ripe raspberries, redcurrants and dark cherries over layers of underbrush and sandalwood. Add vibrant acidity and mild tannins, and it makes an excellent, versatile food wine for elegant white meat, game or vegetarian dishes.
